Interlude 1: Calm Before the Storm

Krius:
The rest of the group has seen very little Krius as father Donavan has him sequestered working on repairs to the temple and well as keeping the stable clean. What time Krius gets away from the good fathers assignments has been spent crafting an illustrious set of full plate armor.

Father Donavan feels Krius' paladin order wouldn’t approve of the company he's been keeping but would probably overlook it for now given the success he's had fighting evil. The Father expects however at the very least Krius tries to redeem his fellow adventure companions and attempt to sway them from the temptations of easy power evil can offer.

Krius has also been suffering from nightmares, some of them almost prophetic, one of which involves barbarian hoards and a great five eyed demon…


Rhin:
Rhin has also been a stranger to the rest of the group, mainly hanging out in the Watchful Wyvern drinking good dwarven ale and drilling with members of the militia also being involved in the occasional brawl, all the while keeping his ears open for rumors.

The only leads he's gotten involving a weapons master has to do with a highly paid Yuan-Ti mercenary in the employ of the Mountain King somewhere deep in his hellish mountain kingdom city-states…


Alton:
Alton has been keeping to himself, staying away from the more sketchy areas of town while engaged in study and research of all things shadow related while contemplating where in the world he wants to go next. He made an excellent find at the witches hut and acquired a magical orb along with a few other items of interest…


Mannon:
Mannon has been studying his book as well as attempting quiet the voices he hears in his head. He’s deduced that certain rituals may allow him to actually contact otherworldly spirits, and thanks to one of the books he acquired in the caves he feels he could be able to bend them to his will.

Also, one late night while walking back to his room at the inn he saw a stranger in the shadows watching him intently, almost as if studying his every move. Unsure of his murky eyes he looked away then back again and the stranger was gone. The curious thing about this person was he cast no shadow…


Prophit:
Prophit received a letter from a commander of the black watch directing him to do what he can to acquire unique ingredients the organization can use to make weapons to fight against the scourge and other evil entities. Four more members have been killed or corrupted past the point of redemption and at this point the organization is desperate so anything goes as far as tactics or equipment is concerned, so long as it’s effective…
